Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture alternately with the milk.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool completely before serving.
