Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture alternately with the milk.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool completely before serving.
