Preparation Steps
In a large bowl, whisk together the milk and instant pudding mix for 2 minutes until well combined.
Fold in the thawed whipped topping until smooth and set aside.
In a trifle bowl or serving dish, layer half of the angel food cake cubes evenly across the bottom.
Spread half of the pudding mixture over the cake layer, then spoon half of the cherry pie filling over the pudding.
Repeat the layers with the remaining cake cubes, pudding mixture, and cherry pie filling.
Top with toasted almonds for garnish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
