German Blueberry Cake

This is a delicious and traditional German Blueberry Cake, perfect for any occasion!

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 1 cup blueberries fresh or frozen
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt together.
  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  • Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternately with milk. Fold in blueberries.
  • Pour batter into a greased 9-inch cake pan.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Notes

Allow cake to cool before serving with whipped cream or icing sugar dusting, if desired.
