French Onion Beef Tortellini

A hearty and flavorful recipe combining the sweetness of caramelized onions, tender beef, and delicious cheese tortellini.

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 3 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 large Yellow Onions thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Dry White Wine
  • 1 package Cheese Tortellini (9 oz)
  • 0.5 cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until caramelized, about 20 minutes.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain off excess fat.
  • Stir in white wine and beef broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add tortellini and heavy cream. Cook until heated through and the tortellini is tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
