CHRISTMAS EGGNOG BREAD

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1.5 cups eggnog use your favorite brand
  • 0.5 cup butter melted
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg freshly grated, if possible
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs large

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and nutmeg.
  • In another bowl, blend together eggnog, melted butter, vanilla extract, and eggs.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then remove and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For an extra festive touch, sprinkle some powdered sugar on top of the bread once it has cooled.
