Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or grease the muffin cups well.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In another bowl, whisk melted butter, milk, eggs, vanilla, and honey until well combined.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
Fill each muffin cup about three-quarters full. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top of each muffin.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
Allow muffins to cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra flavor, try drizzling the muffins with additional honey before serving.
