  • 0.5 cup Butter Unsalted, melted
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar Packed
  • 6 medium Apples Peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1.5 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  • Melt butter in the cake pan. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the melted butter.
  • Arrange apple slices in a decorative pattern over the brown sugar.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat together milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Pour batter over the apple slices in the cake pan.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate. Serve warm.
