Ultimate Stuffed Bell Peppers Recipe

  • 4 bell peppers assorted colors
  • 1 lb ground beef lean
  • 1 cup cooked rice preferably white or brown
  • 1 cup tomato sauce use canned or homemade
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella, for topping

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add chopped onion to the beef and sauté until translucent.
  • Mix in cooked rice, tomato sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Stuff each bell pepper with the beef mixture and place in a baking dish.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil, sprinkle shredded cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
