Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, beat the melted butter and sugar together until well combined.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Gradually mix in the flour until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
Fold in the chocolate chips and pecans.
Pour half of the batter into a greased baking dish, then spread the caramel sauce over the top.
Add the remaining batter over the caramel layer and smooth out with a spatula.
Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Notes
Let the brownies cool before slicing to avoid the caramel from oozing out.
