  • 24 pieces mini slider buns preferably whole wheat
  • 2.5 cups sliced turkey breast thinly sliced
  • 24 slices sharp cheddar cheese or cheese of choice
  • 1 cup lime-aioli sauce see recipe below

Cider Glaze

  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.25 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder for a mild kick
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds optional

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Slice the buns in half horizontally, keeping the tops connected. Place the bottom halves in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  • Evenly spread the lime-aioli sauce over the bottom buns.
  • Layer the turkey slices and cheese evenly over the aioli, then place the top buns over the cheese.
  • Mix melted butter with apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, chili powder, and sesame seeds.
  • Brush glaze generously over the tops of the buns. Cover with foil and bake for 8 minutes.
  • Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Cool slightly, slice individual sliders, and serve warm.

Notes

To enhance the flavor, use smoked turkey breast. These sliders can be made vegetarian by substituting turkey with grilled vegetables.
