Tuna Pasta Salad

A refreshing and protein-packed tuna pasta salad with a tangy dressing, perfect for picnics or quick lunches.

  • 8 oz fusilli or penne pasta
  • 5 oz tuna in water, drained
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 0.5 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 0.33 cup black olives, sliced
  • 0.25 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • teaspoon salt to taste
  • teaspoon pepper to taste

Preparation Steps

  • Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooled pasta, tuna, cherry tomatoes, red onion, black olives, and parsley.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the dressing over the pasta mixture and toss gently to combine.
  • Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Best served chilled. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
