Delicious toffee cookie bars with a buttery shortbread crust and a rich toffee topping.

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter softened
  • 0.75 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Toffee Bits
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  • Press dough evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 20 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle toffee bits evenly over the top. Return to oven for 5 minutes, or until toffee is melted.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality toffee bits. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
