Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 15x10 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Beat until well combined.
Gradually add boiling water to the batter, mixing until smooth.
Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
