Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
Stir in warm milk, butter, and beaten egg until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled.
Punch down the dough and turn onto a floured surface. Roll into a rectangle; cut into 12 squares.
Place rolls on greased baking sheets. Cover and let rise until doubled.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) until golden brown.
Notes
For a softer roll, lightly brush tops with melted butter after baking.
