Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 0.45 kg breakfast sausage, crumbled and cooked
  • 1 32 oz / 2 lb bag frozen tater tots
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup 0.24 L milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups 0.5 lb shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup 0.12 lb shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped parsley for garnish optional

Instructions
 

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 2: Assemble the Casserole Layers

  • Spread half of the tater tots evenly in the baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the cooked sausage over the tater tots.
  • Top with 1 ½ cups of cheddar cheese and ¼ cup of mozzarella cheese.

Step 3: Prepare the Egg Mixture

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Step 4: Add the Egg Mixture and Top with Tater Tots

  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sausage and cheese layers.
  • Arrange the remaining tater tots on top of the casserole.

Step 5: Bake the Casserole

  • Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the tater tots are golden brown.
  • During the last 5 minutes, sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top and let it melt.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy

  • Let the casserole cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired, and serve warm.
