Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and bell pepper. Drain off any excess grease.
Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Cook until heated through.
Spread the meat mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Top with a layer of frozen tater tots.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly and tater tots are golden brown.
Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
This casserole is very versatile. Feel free to add other vegetables or seasonings to your liking.
