tater tot casserole

A comforting and easy tater tot casserole perfect for a weeknight dinner.

  • 1 lb Ground beef Lean ground beef
  • 1 can Cream of mushroom soup 10.75 oz can
  • 1 cup Milk Whole milk
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 bag Tater tots 32 oz bag

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • In a bowl, combine the browned ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Arrange the tater tots in a single layer on top of the ground beef mixture.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Optional: Add shredded cheddar cheese on top of the tater tots during the last 10 minutes of baking.
