  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Chopped Onion
  • 1 cup Diced Tomatoes Canned
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Cumin
  • 1 can Kidney Beans Drained and rinsed

Preparation Steps

  • Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the diced tomatoes, chili powder, and cumin. Bring to a simmer.
  • Add the kidney beans and simmer for 30 minutes, or until thickened.
  • Serve hot with your favorite taco toppings.

Notes

For a spicier chili, add a pinch of cayenne pepper. Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped cilantro for extra flavor.
