Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Juicy meatballs in a tangy sweet and sour sauce. Perfect for a weeknight dinner!

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg Egg
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 0.5 cup White vinegar
  • 0.5 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, and soy sauce in a bowl. Mix well.
  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
  • In a saucepan, combine ketchup, white vinegar, and sugar. Bring to a simmer.
  • Whisk in cornstarch until thickened.
  • Add meatballs to the sauce and coat evenly.
  • Serve immediately over rice or pasta.

Notes

For spicier meatballs, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
