Strawberry Ricotta Bruschetta

  • 0.5 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and thinly sliced
  • 0.5 teaspoon balsamic glaze optional
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • fresh basil leaves for garnish

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush both sides with olive oil.
  • Bake for 5-8 minutes, or until golden brown and lightly toasted. Let cool slightly.
  • In a small bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, honey, and lemon zest. Stir until well combined.
  • Spread a generous amount of the ricotta mixture onto each toasted baguette slice.
  • Top each bruschetta with sliced strawberries.
  • Drizzle with balsamic glaze, if using, and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

This recipe is easily adaptable. You can add a sprinkle of chopped pistachios for extra crunch or a touch of mint for a refreshing twist.
