  • 2.5 pounds pork chops bone-in preferred
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for cooking
  • 1 cup maple syrup pure maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Preparation Steps

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Place the pork chops in a large resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over, ensuring each chop is well coated.
  • Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove pork chops from the marinade and let excess drip off.
  • Cook the pork chops in the skillet for 4-5 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  • Let the chops rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
