Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, salsa, chiles, onions, chicken, garlic powder, salt, half of the cheese, and half of the bacon. Stir well.
Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly across the dish.
Top with the remaining cheese and optional additional bacon.
Bake for 30 minutes or until the edges are bubbly and the cheese melts to a golden brown.
Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with tortilla chips or pita bread.
Notes
Adjust spice level by choosing mild, medium, or hot salsa. Prepare ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake for convenience.
