  • 12 oz dark chocolate chips Use high quality for best results
  • 1.5 cups finely ground almond flour Ensure it's finely ground for smooth texture
  • 0.5 cup sugar Optionally use powdered sugar for smoother mix
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil Melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • pinch salt To enhance the flavor
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation Steps

  • Melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted chocolate with almond flour, sugar, coconut oil, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix thoroughly until a dough forms.
  • Roll the mixture into 36 equal-sized balls using about 1 tablespoon of mixture for each.
  • Place the truffle balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for at least 10 minutes to firm them up.
  • Optionally, roll the truffles in extra almond flour or cocoa powder for coating before serving.

Notes

For a nut-free version, substitute almond flour with finely crushed graham crackers or digestive biscuits. Keep truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
