This spaghetti casserole is a comforting dish that blends hearty noodles with savory meats and rich cheeses, perfect for a family dinner.

  • 1 pound spaghetti uncooked
  • 1 pound ground beef lean
  • 2 cups marinara sauce homemade or store-bought
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in the marinara sauce with the cooked beef, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a large casserole dish, layer the cooked spaghetti, meat sauce, and cheeses. Repeat layering.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

This dish can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated until baking. Simply increase the bake time by 10 minutes if baking straight from the fridge.
