Instructions
Preparation Steps
Cook bacon in a large pot over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside.
Add chopped onion to the pot with the bacon drippings and sauté until translucent.
Add green beans, chicken broth, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Bring to a simmer.
Cover and cook for about 45 minutes, adding more broth if necessary, until beans are tender.
Stir in the cooked bacon before serving.
Notes
You can adjust the amount of broth to your liking for more or less 'soupy' beans.
