Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 6 Pork Chops Boneless or bone-in
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped
  • 8 ounce Mushrooms Sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1.5 cup Chicken Broth
  • 0.5 cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 tablespoon All-Purpose Flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • to taste Salt and Pepper

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear pork chops on both sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • Add onion and mushrooms to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  • Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and cook until sauce has thickened, about 3-5 minutes. Stir in thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Place pork chops back into the skillet with the sauce. Cover and bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until pork chops are cooked through.
  • Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use bone-in pork chops. You can also add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the sauce for extra depth.
