Instructions
Preparation Steps
Combine brown sugar, paprika, pepper, and salt in a small bowl. Rub mixture all over pork shoulder.
Place pork shoulder in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until pork falls apart easily.
Remove pork from slow cooker and shred with two forks. Stir in barbecue sauce and serve.
Notes
For a spicier version, add 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the spice rub.
