Instructions
Brown the ground beef in a skillet, breaking it up; drain excess fat if needed.
Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic and cook until softened.
Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker and stir in the beans, tomatoes, tomato paste, broth, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, or until the flavors are blended.
Taste, adjust seasoning, and serve hot with desired toppings.
Notes
Serve with shredded cheddar, green onions, or a spoonful of sour cream.
