  • 2 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice from about 1 large lime
  • 0.75 oz agave nectar preferably raw
  • 2 oz club soda or sparkling water
  • 1 pinch coarse sea salt for rimming the glass
  • 1 wedge lime for garnish

Preparation Steps

  • Run a lime wedge around the rim of two serving glasses. Dip the rims into a dish of coarse sea salt to lightly coat. Set aside.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar. Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
  • Fill the prepared glasses with fresh ice. Strain the cocktail mixture evenly into each glass.
  • Top each glass with 1 oz of club soda or sparkling water. Stir gently to combine.
  • Garnish each glass with a lime wedge on the rim. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For a frozen version, blend the tequila, lime juice, and agave with 1 cup of ice until smooth. Add club soda just before serving to preserve the effervescence. Always use fresh-squeezed lime juice for best flavor.
