Simple Vanilla Cupcakes

These simple and delicious vanilla cupcakes are perfect for any occasion. Fluffy, light, and topped with a creamy buttercream frosting, they are sure to delight!

  • 1.5 cup all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup whole milk room temperature
  • 1.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, and then stir in the vanilla.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  • Spoon the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow cooling completely before frosting.

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for the best results. Experiment with different flavored frostings for variety.
