These savory mini bread cups are delightfully crispy and infused with a delicious herbed butter. They're easy to prepare, making them a great option for appetizers or an afternoon snack!
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, and melted butter. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients.
Fold in the cheddar cheese if using. Spoon the batter evenly into the prepared muffin tin.
Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the tops are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
To make the herbed butter, mix the melted butter, Italian herbs, and garlic in a small bowl. Brush the tops of the warm bread cups with the herbed butter.
Let the bread cups cool for a few minutes before removing from the muffin tin. Serve warm.
