Savory Butter-Rubbed Chicken Sliders: Mouthwatering and Perfect for Any Gathering

These chicken sliders with a rich, savory butter rub are perfect for any gathering. Tender and juicy, they won't last long at your next get-together!

Ingredients
  

Savory Butter Rub

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1.5 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme chopped
  • 3 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Sliders

  • 2.5 pounds chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1.25 pounds provolone cheese sliced
  • 12 slider buns split

Instructions
 

Preparation Steps

  • Trim chicken breasts and cut into uniform pieces for sliders.
  • In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat and stir in garlic, balsamic vinegar, smoked paprika, chili powder, and thyme.
  • Season butter mixture with salt, and pepper. Set aside 1/4 cup for basting.
  • Preheat grill to medium-high. Coat chicken with olive oil, season with salt and pepper and grill for 4 minutes each side.
  • Baste chicken with reserved butter mixture while grilling.
  • Preheat oven to broil and lightly butter slider buns with remaining butter.
  • Layer bottom buns with grilled chicken, provolone slices, then top with the bun lids.
  • Place sliders on a baking sheet, broil for 2 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly.

Notes

These sliders are versatile and can be garnished with avocado, or a dash of hot sauce for an added kick!
