Sausage Pie – Savory, Hearty, and Deliciously Comforting

A delightful, savory pie filled with juicy sausages, vegetables, and spices encased in a flaky pastry—perfect for family dinners!

  • 1.5 pounds sausages Italian or your favorite variety, sliced
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 0.5 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 unit pie crust store-bought or homemade

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sausages and cook until browned.
  • Add the onions and mushrooms to the skillet, cooking until onions are transparent and mushrooms are softened.
  • Place the pie crust in a pie pan, fill with the sausage mixture, and cover with the top crust. Seal the edges and cut a few slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with a side salad or mashed potatoes for a complete meal. Enjoy!
