  • 1 lb Italian sausage casings removed
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Preparation Steps

  • In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium-high heat until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add the chopped onion and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until softened.
  • Stir in the broccoli florets and chopped bell peppers. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  • Add the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

This dish can be served on its own or with a side of rice or pasta. Feel free to add other vegetables like zucchini or mushrooms.
