Raspberry Chocolate Bars

Rich and decadent chocolate bars swirled with tangy raspberry jam, perfect for dessert or a sweet treat.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened 2 sticks
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.75 cup raspberry jam

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  • Drop spoonfuls of raspberry jam over the batter and use a knife to gently swirl it into the chocolate mixture.
  • Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into 16 bars.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
