  • 1 loaf pumpkin bread day-old or stale preferred
  • 2 cups milk whole or 2%
  • 4 pieces eggs large
  • 1 cup sugar granulated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Tear the pumpkin bread into bite-sized pieces and place in a baking dish.
  • In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the liquid mixture over the bread pieces and let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until the custard is set.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
