Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add milk and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
In another bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar; place a tablespoon into each muffin cup.
Place a piece of pineapple and a maraschino cherry on top of the sugar mixture in each cup.
Pour the batter over the pineapple and cherries, filling each cup almost to the top.
Bake for 25 minutes or until the muffins are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then invert the muffins onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Best enjoyed fresh out of the oven for a warm and delightful treat!
