Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet, sauté the chopped onion in melted butter until translucent.
Layer 3 lasagna noodles in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Spread 1 cup of mashed potatoes evenly over the noodles.
Sprinkle 0.5 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the mashed potatoes.
Repeat layers two more times using the remaining noodles, potatoes, and cheese.
Pour the sautéed onions evenly over the top layer.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
