These Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes are a delicious twist on two classic comfort foods. Juicy ground beef and tender steak are simmered in a savory sauce, then piled high on toasted buns with melted provolone cheese. It's a family-friendly meal that's ready in under 30 minutes!
In a large skillet or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
Add the sliced steak, onion, and green bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened and the steak is cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in the beef broth, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
Toast the hamburger buns if desired. Spoon the beef mixture onto the bottom buns, top with a slice of provolone cheese, and cover with the top bun.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For an extra cheesy experience, broil the assembled sloppy joes for a minute or two until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
