Peppermint Bark Recipe

This delightful peppermint bark recipe combines rich dark chocolate with a refreshing peppermint layer, topped with candy cane pieces.

  • 12 oz dark chocolate chips semi-sweet
  • 6 oz white chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 3 pieces candy canes crushed

Preparation Steps

  • Melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  • Spread the melted dark chocolate on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Let the chocolate set slightly in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
  • Melt the white chocolate chips and stir in the peppermint extract.
  • Spread the white chocolate mixture over the dark chocolate layer.
  • Sprinkle the crushed candy canes over the white chocolate layer while it is still wet.
  • Allow the bark to set completely before breaking it into pieces.
