Peach Crisp Recipe

A warm, comforting dessert featuring sweet baked peaches topped with a crunchy oat and brown sugar crumble.

  • 6 medium ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 3 tablespoons flour, 3 tablespoons sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Toss gently until the peaches are evenly coated. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  • In another bowl, mix together the oats, 1/2 cup flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the peach mixture.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the peaches are bubbling and the topping is golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.
