  • 2 cups baby spinach loosely packed
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat, brown the sliced Italian sausage for about 5 minutes.
  • Add the diced onion and sliced bell peppers, cooking until they soften, about 5 minutes more.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and tomato sauce, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  • Stir in the dried basil, black pepper, salt, and half of the grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Add the fresh gnocchi and spinach, stirring until well mixed and the spinach is wilted.
  • Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese and shredded Mozzarella over the top of the mixture.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your meal!

For an extra twist, try adding sliced mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes to the mix for additional flavor.
