Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat, brown the sliced Italian sausage for about 5 minutes.
Add the diced onion and sliced bell peppers, cooking until they soften, about 5 minutes more.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Pour in the heavy cream and tomato sauce, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
Stir in the dried basil, black pepper, salt, and half of the grated Parmesan cheese.
Add the fresh gnocchi and spinach, stirring until well mixed and the spinach is wilted.
Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese and shredded Mozzarella over the top of the mixture.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your meal!
Notes
For an extra twist, try adding sliced mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes to the mix for additional flavor.
