A rich and indulgent casserole featuring layers of cheese ravioli, creamy ricotta mixture, marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese, baked until bubbly and golden. Perfect for family dinners or special occasions.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano. Mix well until smooth.
Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Layer half of the ravioli in a single layer over the sauce, slightly overlapping if necessary.
Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the ravioli, then sprinkle with one-third of the mozzarella and one-quarter of the Parmesan.
Repeat the layers: remaining ravioli, remaining ricotta mixture, another third of mozzarella, and another quarter of Parmesan.
Top with the remaining 1 cup of marinara sauce, spreading gently to cover all layers. Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and lightly browned.
Let the casserole cool for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
