Instructions
Preparation Steps
Season the beef with salt and pepper on all sides.
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Sear the beef on all sides until browned.
Add beef broth and lime juice to the pot. Bring to a simmer, cover, and reduce heat to low.
Cook for 4 hours, or until beef is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
Notes
For best results, let the beef rest in the cooking liquid for 30 minutes before shredding.
