Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the meatballs over medium heat. Remove meatballs and set aside.
Add carrots, celery, and onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in chicken broth, oregano and parsley. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Return meatballs to the pot. Simmer for another 30 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through.
Notes
Serve hot with crusty bread.
