Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce is smooth.
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss with the sauce. Add the drained pasta and toss until well coated.
Season with additional salt and pepper if needed. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
