Marry Me Chicken Pasta

A creamy, garlicky chicken pasta dish that's rich, flavorful, and perfect for a romantic dinner—hence the name 'Marry Me Chicken'.

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • freshly chopped parsley for garnish

Preparation Steps

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce is smooth.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss with the sauce. Add the drained pasta and toss until well coated.
  • Season with additional salt and pepper if needed. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve immediately while hot and enjoy this decadent dish with a glass of white wine for the full experience.
