Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a large bowl, combine the brownie mix, melted butter, and beaten eggs. Stir until smooth and well incorporated.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the sugar and continue to mix until light and fluffy.
Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
Spoon the cream cheese mixture in dollops over the brownie batter, then swirl with a knife for a marble effect.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack, then cut into squares and serve.
Notes
For extra decadence, try adding a sprinkle of sea salt on top before serving.
