maple snickerdoodles

Soft and chewy snickerdoodles with a hint of maple syrup. These cookies are perfect for fall!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter softened
  • 1.5 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 0.25 cup Maple Syrup pure maple syrup
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • 0.25 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and maple syrup until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon for the coating.
  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place on the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
