Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté the celery and onion until soft.
In a large bowl, combine the crumbled cornbread, cooked sausage, sautéed vegetables, chicken broth, sage, and melted butter. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Notes
For added flavor, consider mixing in chopped pecans or dried cranberries.
