Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
In a medium bowl, whisk eggs and sugar together until well blended.
Stir in milk, vanilla extract, and salt.
Pour the mixture into custard cups and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Place cups in a baking pan and fill the pan with hot water halfway up the sides of the cups.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
Notes
This dessert is delicious served either warm or chilled.
